The Bilzin Sumberg law firm decided to relocate from downtown Miami to the Brickell Corridor. They chose the building at 1450 Brickell, initially taking 3 ½ floors. They were the first large tenant build out in this new GOLD LEED CERTIFIED class-A office building. The project was delivered on time and under budget.
Gensler Architects was hired for design with DSS providing overall project management including design oversight, procurement and construction administration.
A large-scale tenant improvement had yet to be performed at 1450 and the logistics were unknown. All new management, systems and procedures made planning and coordination key to delivering class-A interiors in a class-A building.
DSS worked closely with Gensler, Bilzin Sumberg and Rilea Group management during design and construction integrating building systems into the tenant improvements. The project was bid with Plaza Construction being selected.
Bilzin Sumberg moved in on time. The project was delivered well under budget without substituting materials or reducing the quality of systems or finishes. The space is a testimony to great design, teamwork and project management.
